How to play Devil May Cry 4 on Intel X3100

System Requiriments for Intel X3100 users:

Win XP or Win 7 (Best on Win 7)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz (Worst performance with a Daul Core even in Win 7)
RAM: 2GB

1- Go to

Win XP - Drive:\Documents and Settings\"Your User"\Local Definition\Application Data\Capcom\

Win 7 - Drive:\Users\"Your User"\AppData\Local\CAPCOM\DEVILMAYCRY4

2- Edit "config" file to the lowest possible. Or contact me and I send you my edited file (jonas_gomes1991@hotmail.com). Akash helped me in this step.

Enjoy the game

Here you can see a vid recorded by Akash about the playability of the game and it runs well.

How to play Virtua Tennis 3 On Intel X3100

1 - Your going to need a program called 3DAnalyze. You can't play the game without it.
http://superdownloads.uol.com.br/download/50/3d-analyze/

2 - Configure the game: Resolution: 800x600/1024x768. The rest in Low/Off/Untick.

3- Start 3DAnalyze. Select the game executable, not the game shortcut.

4- Tick "Force SW TnL" or "Emulate HW TnL caps". They have both the same effect in this game.

5- Now you should be able to play the game only on Singles Matches. The movies are laggy but the gameplay is normal.

6- To play Doubles Matches tick "Skip pixel shader version 2.0". You can now play Doubles Matches but with really poor quality graphics.

In my PC the game crashes when entering some competitions/player options on World Tour.

If you know something more about playing this game on Intel X3100 just post a comment with the info.

How to play Bioshock On Intel X3100

How to run Bioshock on Intel X3100 with 8-17 fps almost all the time.
You will only get lower than 10 fps in big rooms\areas or places with too much enemies or graphic effects.

You can get better performance if you have 3-4GB RAM and a 2.0Ghz Dual Core CPU

1- Do a clean Installation of the game
2- I've installed the patch. i don't know the results without the patch but you can try and then
come here to post comments with the results.
3- Go to Bioshock directory\Builds\Release and delete "shaders.spk" and "ShaderCache.pcs"

4- Make a backup of "ShaderCache.pcs10"
5- Download FlintsFix_v2_20.rar
6- Extract it to Bioshock directory\Builds\Release.
7- Run execute_me_first.bat.
8- Run the game and set every graphic option to the lowest possible including Res:640x480
9- Start the game and save. Loading will take a while.
10- Go to:
  • Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application Data\Bioshock\
  • Windows Vista - C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Bioshock\
11- In the window go to Tools - Folder Option and in file types find and delete TXT file type.
12- Create a txt file named "ShaderErrors" and move it into the recycle bin.
13- Start the game and play for a while
14- Now in the recycle bin you should have this:
15- Remove ".txt" from the file name
16- Put the file here:
  • Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application Data\Bioshock\
  • Windows Vista - C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Bioshock\
17- Put "ShaderCache.pcs10" in the Bioshock directory\Builds\Release.

Now try to enjoy the game if possible.

Obs: I know the 13 step seems stupid but it's the way i've done.

How to get the best performance/quality possible with GTA San Andreas

How to:

1- You can get better performance on XP
2- Make a clean install of GTA San Andreas
3- If you're a cracker you can just put the cracked 1.1 game fix in GTA directory.
4- If you have time do a disk defrag, it can help getting more 3 fps some times
5- Run the game
6- http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-028229.htm. That info for me it's false. Not only X3100 can't get that resolution on a laptop LCD but also at 1280x800x16 (or 32) with visual fx at High the game is not playable at least for me.
7- If you can't too, use this:
Draw Distance: XP- Middle; Vista- 0%
Frame Limiter - On
WideScreen - As you Wish
Visual FX - Low
Mip Maping - On
Anti Aliasing - Off
Resolution - 1280x800x32

7- Start the game and enjoy (modding the game will cost you to reduce resolution)

Optional- Make a savegame. Exit the game. Run a program like TuneUp Utilities and make Regitry cleanup. It will deleted unusefull and unused registry. Make a disk cleanup to deleted unesesery files if you want to. This CAN increase 2fps, not garanted :P

Posting soon settings and/or tweaks to run Oblivion, Devil May Cry 4 and Left for Dead

Don't forget to vote.

EDIT:

If you're going to play SA-MP or MTA (San Andreas Multiplayer) get your draw distance to 0. If it isn't enough, get your resolution lower.

Info about my blog poll

I made this poll to know what game do you want to play with Intel X3100.
The 3 more voted games will be tested, but not simply tested. You know what I mean.

Anyway, if you want to play a game that is not on the poll list just leave a comment in this post.

Presentation

My intention when creating this blog is to give Intel X3100 (GMA 965) users the information they need to get the best from it. I know that Intel X3100 won't get any far and there are at least 4 blog about Intel X3100, but there are a huge amount of laptops with that graphic board.

I'll be posting information about the release of new drivers, games that run and don't run and something usefull that appears.

Make sure to make the comparison between your system specs and mine. Intel X3100 performance can depend on the CPU Speed and amount of RAM.
