How to run Bioshock on Intel X3100 with 8-17 fps almost all the time.
You will only get lower than 10 fps in big rooms\areas or places with too much enemies or graphic effects.
You can get better performance if you have 3-4GB RAM and a 2.0Ghz Dual Core CPU
1- Do a clean Installation of the game
2- I've installed the patch. i don't know the results without the patch but you can try and then
come here to post comments with the results.
3- Go to Bioshock directory\Builds\Release and delete "shaders.spk" and "ShaderCache.pcs"
4- Make a backup of "ShaderCache.pcs10"
5- Download FlintsFix_v2_20.rar
6- Extract it to Bioshock directory\Builds\Release.
7- Run execute_me_first.bat.
8- Run the game and set every graphic option to the lowest possible including Res:640x480
9- Start the game and save. Loading will take a while.
10- Go to:
- Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application Data\Bioshock\
- Windows Vista - C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Bioshock\
12- Create a txt file named "ShaderErrors" and move it into the recycle bin.
13- Start the game and play for a while
14- Now in the recycle bin you should have this:

16- Put the file here:
- Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application Data\Bioshock\
- Windows Vista - C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Bioshock\
Now try to enjoy the game if possible.
Obs: I know the 13 step seems stupid but it's the way i've done.
